Abstract

Background: Second-trimester abortions account for 10–15% of induced abortions globally.Misoprostol is widely used due to its efficacy and accessibility, with sublingualadministration often preferred for convenience. Cervical priming with oral mifepristone(inducing collagen breakdown) or endocervical Dinoprostone/PGE2 gel (promoting cervicalremodelling) may improve outcomes, but comparative data are limited.
